Mellon & Co Adds New Team Members:
As the summer ends, Mellon & Co is entering a new season as well. We have recently seen the addition of four new members, bringing lots of new talent to the company. Some of this talent will translate into new services to our customers.
Our first new installment was John Loyd. A recent graduate of Roberts Wesleyan College, John has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication. With a history in freelance writing, he has had work published by the Democrat & Chronicle, the Batavia Daily News, and the Olean Times Herald. John has joined the team as a copy writer. His work is also focused primarily in Search Engine Optimization.
Beth Jankowski brings a diverse range of experiences and abilities to the company. Originally from Kenmore, Beth moved to Olean with her husband, Petty Officer Mike Jankowski MM1(SS), and their dog, Zephyr. Military moves have had Beth traveling everywhere from Virginia Beach to New Hampshire. She took advantage of her different locations by gaining a wide variety of management experience. Beth has done everything from Barista training to customer service, hiring employees, and bookkeeping. Most recently she worked as the Store Manager for Dunkin Donuts, in Olean. Beth is also the Command Naval Ombudsman for NRD Pittsburgh. In this role, she volunteers as a liaison between the military and military families. She joins us an Administrative Assistant.
Bob Price joins Mellon & Co with work history that matches Beth’s in location and diversity. Bob is originally from Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He graduated with a Specialized Technology degree from the Pittsburgh Technical Institute, and recently Bob worked in Buffalo for Ingram Micro. Bob has worked in telecommunications, infrastructure, tech services, sales, network security, and even “help desks,” dealing with customer service repair issues. Bob will be heading up our new Business Development division, which you can read more about in our other blog entry.
Working with Bob is Krystle Loomis. Hailing from Montrose, PA, Krystle began work in journalism when she was 15. She began with the High School Media Chronicle. Krystle then had work published in the Press and Sun Bulletin in Binghamton, NY, as well as Business First in Buffalo, and more locally, The Villager. Journalism brought Krystle to the area, as she got her BA in Journalism and Mass Communication from Saint Bonaventure University. During her last year at Bonaventure, Krystle got into marketing work, as a way of diversifying herself. Krystle said marketing was a way to do “something new and exciting every day, and use those skills,” that she had developed in her journalism work. Now she works for Mellon & Co as an Account Executive and Marketing Associate.
We have also had several changes with current personnel, including the promotion of Rachel Blovsky. Rachel is now the position of Marketing Communications Director.
